Our first challenge is our Basic Reading Challenge. This 12 book challenge is perfect for people who don’t have much time to read or for those reading a few tomes. Have you taken some time off reading for some reason (mom brain, school, illness, etc.) and want something structured to help you get back into the swing of things? This is the challenge for you! This challenge is also a great way to supplement your normal reading for those looking to broaden their genres and subjects in 2023.
Downloads for both the pretty versions are below. Ink saver versions can be found here.
Our 52 Book Reading Challenge is for readers who want to go all in! It takes the 12 categories from our Basic Reading Challenge and adds 40 more titles!
This is not just for adults. We’ve had kids as young as 5 finish this challenge! If you are an adult considering more than the 12 but finds the idea of 52 books absolutely overwhelming, we recommend doing a mix of adult and kids books. Even picture books will stretch you in ways you may not expect. Give it a go. We believe in you! The goal is to read more and broadly however that looks for you. Click on the images below for a large view.
Our Family Reading Challenge is one of my favorites! Gather the family around and share a story! These can be read alouds around a fire or audiobooks on a long car ride. The goal is to add stories to your shared family vernacular to build closeness with the people you love most in the world and a firm foundation of hope and truths for the trials and hardships of life that lie ahead.
Are you a college student with roommates? See if they want to do read alouds with you! Their answer might surprise you.
Our 25 book Teen Reading Challenge is for our not yet adult readers. It’s a judgement call for each individual where the line between the Kids’ Reading Challenge and the Teen Reading Challenge falls. We will leave that call entirely up to you and your youngsters!
Are you an adult who wants to do the teen challenge as as a midline between the 12 and 52 adult challenges? Or as a bonus summer challenge? Have fun! We can’t wait to see what titles you pick!
Our Reading Challenge for Kids is a baker’s dozen of categories for kids and kids at heart! Our categories this year leave space for both fun and learning.
Ambre is so looking forward to hearing reviews from kids on their favorite reads and what they’ve learned!
Our Daily Reading Tracker is for everyone wanting a visual of how many days they’re reading in a year. It can be so fun to try not to miss a day even if it’s just five minutes! It can also be so encouraging to look back on at the end of the year to see how many days were graced with time in a book or to take assessment midway through the year and make some course corrections! Hold onto your kids trackers and they can see how each year compares!
We’re so excited to share this journey with you! Have a great year of reading!!!
Remember that you can find ink saver printables of all our challenges here.

I enjoy seeing what others choose for the categories. The challenge helped me create a reading plan that would encourage growth along with enjoyment.
