Purple House Press is having their biggest sale for 2023 and it’s a FLASH SALE so set your alarms! It will be Saturday, June 3rd, from 2pm to 6pm eastern daylight time.
I recommend looking ahead now and and adding what you plan to buy to a wishlist on the site so you won’t be rushed at the last minute. Here are the links you may need:
We had someone ask today who Purple House Press was and why they should care about the sale so this seems like a great time for a refresher!
Purple House Press is one of the small publishers we support for the high quality and beautifully illustrated books they have brought back into print for a new generation. Jill Morgan is responsible for bringing most of the Five in A Row picture book titles back from unicorn status and has worked closely with our group to bring some of the titles nearest to our hearts back from the brink of fading into oblivion.
We are so grateful for all the years of service to the vintage book loving community PHP has provided and encourage you to support Jill and her business to further enable her to do what she does best- lovingly and excellently reprinting some of the best of the best books from yesteryear.
So, set an alarm and don’t miss this sale! You won’t regret a purchase from PHP.
Also, a purchase from PHP through one of the links I’ve shared, in a small way, supports Reshelving Alexandria and the work we do to help you discover new books and discern through all the titles for the right ones for your own home libraries.
Recap of our lists released last month:
Ambre’s 40th Birthday Booklist- My favorite new to me books since starting RA
Best Kids Books with Baking- A list for kids who love baking and eating good food
Motherly Models and Mentors- books full of women modeling healthy motherhood and standing as mentors for those desperate for one
The Stories from the Ashes podcast is back with season 2!
Episodes will be releasing every other Monday this season so if you missed the first episode with my (Ambre’s) Aunt Gloris (an illustrator for Living Book Press), you have time this weekend to give it a listen before the next episode drops on Monday!
My Aunt is the best reader of voices I’ve heard and she does so much reading aloud for us in this episode! It’s such a delight! And I may have cried at one point, but I think that’s to be expected at this point, no?
Have an amazing month!
