Wrapping Up 2024 with Gratitude and Excitement for 2025!

As 2024 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what an incredible year it’s been for the Reshelving Alexandria community. Your support has been instrumental in making so many wonderful things happen—thank you!
Here’s what we accomplished together this year:
📚 A Renewed Classic: We reprinted Once on a Time by A.A. Milne, and it’s been a joy to see this delightfully absurd fairytale delighting readers once again.
📖 Library Love for The Master of Tides: We’re thrilled to share that The Master of Tides by Jamin Still has found a home on the shelves of over 50 libraries across North America! This has been such an exciting milestone for us, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.
If your local library has a copy but isn’t yet on our map, let us know! Together, we can ensure this beautiful, good, and true teen fantasy reaches even more readers.
📚 Book Clubs That Thrilled: We hosted four fantastic group book clubs that sparked meaningful conversations and deepened our love for great stories. The kids and their questions and thoughts were the highlight for me! In 2025, these clubs will be available to those who attended this year and to RA Consortium members—or you can join on a pay-as-you-go basis!
🏆 The 2024 Reading Challenge: You all knocked it out of the park! If you finished the challenge, join us in our FB Reads group for the end-of-year drawing, or email Ambre at ReshelvingAlexandria@gmail.com to enter. (One entry per finisher!)
🎙️ Podcast Milestones: This year, we had a small but impactful third podcast season on Stories from the Ashes with some truly worthwhile episodes. Thanks to your support, we’ve surpassed 30k downloads! We’re so grateful to each of you who listened, shared, and encouraged us along the way. And guess what? We’re planning a more frequent season for 2025, with some exciting names in our interview lineup. Stay tuned—it's going to be amazing!
📈 Growing Together: Our Facebook group has grown to an amazing 19k members this year! It’s truly inspiring to see so many families and individuals dedicated to building beautiful, lasting home libraries. Thank you for helping maintain the warm, respectful culture of our group by following the posting guidelines and engaging thoughtfully in discussions.
📝 Booklist Bonanza: We’ve also released a treasure trove of free book lists this year, covering a wide range of themes and interests. If you haven’t checked them out yet, now’s the perfect time to explore!
📣 Speaking and Used Book Selling: This year, I had the honor of speaking at a Charlotte Mason conference for a fourth year and selling books at two. In 2025, I’m excited to double those efforts, with plans to speak at two conferences and host book tables at two! If you’re interested in having me speak about living books or home library building, don’t hesitate to reach out!
Exciting News for 2025:
🎉 Releasing January 1: Our modern (a modern look- the text has not been modernized) reprint of Northanger Abbey (link goes live at midnight!)! Featuring a fresh YA-style cover, a thoughtful new introduction, and an elegant layout with great white space and a readable font, it’s the perfect way to discover or rediscover Austen’s timeless brilliance.
📖 2025 Reading Challenges Are Here! Check them out and start the year strong with curated reading goals that encourage you to explore the books you own, discover new favorites, and celebrate the joy of stories that bring your family together. This year's challenge theme is Family, and whether your experiences with family have been positive or challenging, we hope you find peace, comfort, and hope in the pages you read.
